Dr. Amy Lindsay Howe

Dr. Howe was born in Michigan, but is practically a native Houstonian as she has lived here since the age of 9 years. She grew up in west Houston and graduated from Spring Woods High School in 1993. She attended Texas A&M University where she was awarded a bachelor of arts degree in biology and a bachelor of science degree in psychology in 1997. Dr. Howe attended the Texas Tech University School of Medicine from 1998-2000. Here she completed her basic sciences training. She transferred to the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 2000. Here she completed her clinical medical training and was awarded a doctor of medicine degree in 2002. From 2002-2003, Dr. Howe completed her internship training in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She went on to complete her neurology residency training at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston from 2003-2006. After completion of her residency training, she pursued fellowship training in Neuromuscular Diseases at the Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her fellowship training in 2007. Dr. Howe then opened her medical practice in 2007.

Dr. Howe is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Howe is a mother of three boys and 4 stepchildren (whew!). She enjoys fitness, tennis and is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Dr. Howe is a follower of Christ and prays for her staff and patients every day. She has a passion for international missions work, and so you will have to excuse her absence from the office a few times per year!
